From November 1st to November 5th, the Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week will be held in Kyiv, bringing together creativity, innovation, and design under one multidisciplinary platform.

The goal of the Ukrainian Design Week is to explore the theme of "Resilience" in the context of ongoing war and to highlight how design can impact and contribute to the recovery of societal processes. It aims to engage the community in discussions and collaborative efforts to create a sustainable future.

"This year, we have chosen the theme of 'Resilience,' which has become not just a loud expression but also a key direction for the development of Ukraine and the modern world. Resilience is not only a property of materials but also an essential principle of our activities. This theme obliges us to look at all processes from a new perspective, as an opportunity to create solutions that meet current needs while retaining their relevance in the future. It requires us to think long-term, pay attention to environmental concerns, and implement innovations that contribute to resource conservation and positive change," explains Kateryna Roskovshenko, the founder of the Rosko studio and UDIW.

The Week of Design guests can look forward to a rich program, including exhibitions of renovation projects, an architectural conference, 3D modeling workshops, pottery, painting, open design lectures, tours of art installation production, specialized masterclasses, presentations, and lectures.

All events will take place at various locations: KNUBA, OSTRIV platform, the Student Hub, the pottery workshop at 22F Dovzhenka Street, various showrooms (Porcellanato, Decomaster, Natuzzi), and others. The full program will be announced later on social media and the project's website.

"With the onset of the war, we have seen continuous changes in the field of design. Alongside the destructive consequences, we can also observe many positive changes. More and more consumers are choosing 'Made in Ukraine.' New names and companies are emerging, promoting current values, setting quality standards, and concentrating all their efforts to become worthy competitors to foreign counterparts," the organizers commented.

WDW is proud to endorse Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week. We are committed to fully supporting and promoting this remarkable event
