Lizz Cardwell is the Creative Director of the Detroit Month of Design and leads Strategic Communications for Design Core Detroit, the NGO that stewards the city’s UNESCO City of Design designation.
A former visual journalist, she believes in the transformative power of storytelling to connect people and spark change. Raised internationally, Lizz is passionate about cross-cultural collaboration and community-driven solutions as pathways to equitable economic growth.
Lizz holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Missouri and an M.A. in Visual Storytelling from the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
When she’s not making things happen, she’s probably outside plotting her next adventure.
