Tijuana Design Week 2026 positions design as a practice

rooted in care and responsibility for the planet.

This edition encourages reflection on how every design

decision, from materials and form to process and narrative,

impacts the environment, society, and culture that sustain

us.

​

This edition is organized around three main pillars:

1. Design and Planetary Responsibility

Focus areas include sustainability, ecological transition, and systems thinking.

2. Cultural Institutions and Design

This pillar examines how the structures that support culture are designed.

3. Community and Urban Activation

Over +35 activities will take place across 25 venues across the city.
