AMBIENCE: the mood of space
Ukrainian Design & Innovation Week
UDIW announces the theme of its 6th season — AMBIENCE: the mood of space.
Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week explores atmosphere as a design tool and a way of thinking about space. AMBIENCE focuses on elements that shape everyday experience but are often intangible—light and shadow, sound, materials, temperature, movement, even scent. In this approach, design creates emotional states and influences how people interact with their environment.
The 6th season, will take place May 4–10, 2026, in Kyiv and online, featuring 30+ events: exhibitions, talks, workshops, and studio visits. The central event, DESIGN HALL (May 9–10, Mystetskyi Arsenal), will showcase 180+ Ukrainian brands across furniture, decor, lighting, and art, forming a unified atmospheric environment.
Program highlights include lectures, panel discussions, workshops, and a food hall with Kyiv-based venues. Speakers include Liubko Deresh, Hlib Ushakov, and Oleksandr Poltavtsev.
Citywide events will feature exhibitions, studio visits, university lectures, and partner venues.
